摘要
Niobium oxide, Nb2O5, was activated by hydrogen reduction at high temperatures to be active for the dimerization and oligomerization of ethene. The thermal stability of the activity was improved by the preparation of mixed oxides with various tantalum contents. At the higher contents of tantalum, the resistance to the crystallization and to the isotope exchange of gaseous oxygen are increased. The preparation of mixed oxides with metals of larger metal-oxygen bond dissociation energy is promising for the high activity to be realized after a hydrogen reduction treatment or heat treatments.
