摘要
A consolidation process suitable for amorphous metals which utilizes the metastable liquid state of amorphous metals near crystallization temperature, Tx, is presented. The processing temperature ought to be high enough to guarantee good formability but, the higher the temperature, the shorter the relaxation time for crystallization becomes. The strained powder rolling method proposed in this paper satisfies the requirements of quick operation at a temperature close to Tx so that the metastable liquid state can effectively be utilized for consolidation.
