RESPONSE TO COMMENTS ON THE METALLIC CONDUCTIVITY OF TETRATHIAFULVALENIUM-TETRACYANOQUINODIMETHANIDE (TTF-TCNQ)

It is pointed out quite correctly in the preceidng Comment that a good deal of the temperature dependence of the conductivity of TTF-TCNQ and related materials arises from thermal expansion, and does not reflect the temperature dependence of the scattering processes. Nevertheless, it is possible, qualitatively at least, to account for the residual (after correction for expansion) temperature dependence of in terms of acoustic and intramolecular phonon scattering, with the former predominant. Further, it appears that the pressure dependence of can be accounted for by single-particle phonon scattering processes. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
