摘要
Boron in glass is determined by dissolution of 0.1 g of ground sample in hydrofluoric acid at room temperature followed by plasma atomic emission analysis of the sample solution at the boron resonance wavelength of 249.7 or 249.8 nm. The plasma system consists of a dc plasma jet coupled to an echelle spectrometer. Boron can be determined from 0.01 to 100% B2O3 with a precision of ±0.8% RSD or ±0.003% B2O3, whichever is greater. The accuracy of the method is within the precision limits for alkali aluminosilicate glasses and about 1 % relative for high lead glasses. Comparative results are also quoted for fluoride, phosphate, and germania-con-taining glasses. Spectral and nonspectral interferences are evaluated. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
