摘要
Neutron diffraction was performed on samples of the oxygen ion conductor (Bi2O3)(0.80)(Er2O3)(0.20). Results revealed a structural change in an ''aged'' sample, which had been annealed at 500 degrees C with resulting oxygen ion conductivity degradation. The essential change is the displacement of nearly all anions from tetrahedral 8c sites to 32f sites along [111] directions. Taking this displacement into account, a structural model for oxide vacancy ordering is proposed.
