摘要
An analysis of the literature related to the glass to metal sealing is presented along with a synthesis and derivation of a set of governing equations and boundary conditions. The results of high-speed photography of the actual process which identify and isolate the key regimes in the process are presented. These results enhance a basic understanding of the physical mechanisms involved in the sealing process. Preliminary experimental results provide perspectives in the development of appropriate assumptions and boundary conditions which can be used for future modeling efforts.
