WAVE TRANSMISSION THROUGH LOSSY MEDIA IN THE STRONG-LOCALIZATION REGIME

摘要
Asymptotically exact expressions for all statistical moments of the transmission coefficient are obtained for a one-dimensional disordered lossy system by mapping the Fokker-Planck problem onto a Schrodinger equation with imaginary time. It is shown that an arbitrary small absorption leads to spectrum quantization of the initial Fokker-Planck equation that reveals itself in the appearance of a disorder-induced absorption scale.
