摘要
The application of an association model describing binary polymer blends where the components interact through the formation of hydrogen bonds has provided a theoretical basis for the calculation of the free energy changes and phase diagram of these systems. This has been described in the two prior papers of this series. The authors compare the theoretical calculations of the phase diagrams of a number of poly(4-vinylphenol) blends with various polyacrylates, polyacetates, and polylactones to experimental observations. The results are very encouraging.
