RADIATIVE AND NON-RADIATIVE TRANSITIONS IN AROMATIC-MOLECULES CHEMISORBED ON GAMMA-ALUMINA

摘要
The CT-luminescence and its kinetics of anthracene, phenanthrene, naphthalene adsorbed on γ-alumina were investigated. In anthracene strong fluorescence (τF = 34 ns) can be observed, in phenanthrene and naphthalene phosphorescence predominates. Phosphorescence quenching is small, even at 200°C. The rate constants of intersystem crossing and their dependence on the surface activity are discussed. © 1979.
