摘要
Ethanol was administered to pregnant CD-1 mice on gestation days 2-10 as a 10% (v/v) solution or on days 7-11, 6-11 or 1-11 as a 20% solution, in place of drinking water. Controls were untreated or were pair-fed on days 1-11 (with the equivalent ethanol treated group) and supplemented with sucrose added to the diet in amounts isocaloric to the ethanol consumed. Ethanol had no effect on fetal survival to gestation day 18, weight, or incidence of gross or skeletal malformation. It is considered that prenatal effects of ethanol in mice may depend greatly on strain or on treatment protocol. © 1979.
