摘要
The cell-theory partition function of Eckert and Renon is useful for calculating Henry's constants for solutes, if the temperature is well below the solute's critical temperature. However, the cell theory cannot reproduce the experimentally observed maximum in Henry's constant at a temperature well above the solute's critical temperature. For higher temperatures a new partition function is presented, based on a modified van der Waals model for the behavior of the supercritical solute in the liquid state. Calculations of Henry's constants for several binary mixtures illustrate the new formulation. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
