摘要：

Sulphate has been found to interfere in the determination of iron by atomic-absorption spectrophotometry, when using an air-acetylene flame. The effects of varying the sulphate concentration, the nature of the flame and the path of the light beam through the flame were examined. The effects of phosphate, potassium, sodium, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, manganese and aluminium ions were also examined.
