摘要：

The relationships between smoking and the levels of urea and uric acid in the blood were studied in three occupational groups. It was found that smokers, especially those who inhale, have a lower blood urea than non-smokers, and the more they smoke the lower the ureal level. Inhalers also show a lower blood uric acid than both non-smokers and non-inhalers. No relationship was found between this uric acid level and the amount of tobacco smoked. © 1969.
