摘要
A novel method of coating tin oxide particles with silver by an electroless plating process has been developed to produce silver-tin oxide electrical contact alloys. The mechanism of electroless silver deposition on tin oxide particles has been studied utilizing the mixed potential theory. The structures of electrolessly plated silver-tin oxide composite powders and the sintered alloys have been studied by scanning electron microscopy. The electrical and mechanical properties of the composites have also been determined.
