摘要
It has been demonstrated with reference to a specific example of a 'square planar' Co(II) compound that the method of measurement of paramagnetic anisotropy may prove to be very helpful in deciding the ground state of square planar transition metal compounds. To date ESR is the only method which has been successful in this regard.
