摘要
The effect of varying substrate concentration on the shape of inhibition plots to clorgyline was investigated for phenylethylamine (PEA) in rat heart, liver and vas deferens. The MAO types deaminating PEA vary in accordance with the substrate concentration. The factors influencing the shape of clorgyline plots are discussed. Classification and assay of tissue MAO with PEA may lead to false conclusions unless careful attention is given to the concentration used.
