SOME STUDIES OF REALISTIC FORM FACTORS FOR (D,P) AND (P,D) REACTIONS IN LEAD REGION

A formalism is developed for the calculation of the form factors of one-nucleon transfer reactions using a peiturbation treatment which is correct to all orders and techniques originally employed in photonuclear reaction theory to sum the contributions of bound and continuum terms. A simplified version of this formalism is used to analyse the reactions 206Pb,(d, p)270Pb 209Bi(d, p)210Bi and 210Pb(p, d)209Pb and the results are employed to determine the sensitivity of the ground state wave function predictions for the target nuclei to the form factor prescription. It is shown that significant corrections are required in certain cases. © 1969.
