Myloceras (Ammonoidea) from the Albian of central Queensland

摘要：

The type species of Myloceras, M. ammonoides (Etheridge 1909), previously known only from incomplete phragmocones, is redescribed on the basis of two complete specimens from the Albian Allaru Mudstone, Eromanga Basin, central Queensland. These specimens, and the holotype of a new species, M. auritulum, represent the first descriptions and illustrations of complete specimens of Myloceras from Australia. They shed light on the variation in shell morphology between the phragmocone and body chamber in Myloceras and between Australian and southern African species.
