摘要
A simple quantitative perimetric test which allows the investigator to differentiate inner retinal from outer retinal, and choroidal involvement at different points of the visual field, has been described. These studies of neural data processing (or interactive properties) are believed to reflect retinal receptive field properties. When studying receptive field properties in patients with optic nerve and visual pathway lesions, added variables tended to cause artifacts during measurement. Careful investigation of these patients has led to the definition of two time-varying factors, short-term fatigue and/or a saturation-like effect, and alteration in local adaptation. These factors should be studied in depth, particularly when investigating lesions occurring central to the retina. Two very simple tets for the purpose requiring only standard equipment have been described. © 1969 Dr. W. Junk N.V.
