摘要
An amperometric xanthine oxidase electrode constructed with the conducting salt tetrathiafulvalene tetracyanoquinodimethane, TTF** plus TCNQ** minus , as the electrode material is evaluated for the determination of purine, hypoxanthine, and xanthine. Under unsaturated enzyme conditions, substrate-dependent current response is linear in the concentration range 10** minus **5 to 6 multiplied by 10** minus **4 M. Substrate diffusion through the membrane is the rate-limiting step. Application to the determination of purines in blood plasma is described.
