A generalised approach to single peak fitting presented in a previous paper is used in a survey of additive functions describing low-energy tailing in a small planar Ge(Li) detector. Excellent fits are achieved with two of the various candidates. The impact of rise-time rejection on these two is then examined and further improvement found. Parameter energy dependences are found to assist in the selection among equivalent" best fits. © 1979."
