摘要
Catalytic converters are widely employed for reducing pollutions caused by automotive traffic. Numerous reactions can occur simultaneously in these converters : oxidation of CO and hydrocarbons (HC), water-gas shift, steam reforming, reduction of NOX by CO, HC, H-2,.... The aim of this review is to analyse the main reactions, ranked according to the type of molecule involved in the reaction : CO, hydrocarbons, NOX, O-2, H2O, H-2. The relative activities of the metals (Pt, Rh, Pd), as well as the role of ceria in these redox reactions are detailed. For each of them, kinetic data and the most probable mechanisms are presented.
