In this paper we present the transport J(c) dependence on grain size of YBa2Cu3O7-delta samples prepared with different initial powder precursor sizes (d(pr)). For a given initial particle size of YBa2Cu3O7-delta powder precursor, during the sintering process at a given temperature, grains grow to an asymptotic equilibrium grain size, d(e), which is only temperature dependent. From powders of an initial particle size, d(pr), samples of constant packing density (63 % of theoretical) were sintered at increasing temperatures, T-s, corresponding to asymptotic grain sizes, d(e), in an atmosphere of 100% O-2. These samples were characterised by J(c) measurements in self and applied field.
