摘要
To investigate the role of nonspecific interactions between specifically interacting cells, coagulation processes of polymer microspheres to a modified water-solid interface were investigated. An optical microscope and video imagery method were used for this study, taking advantage of direct observation of the motion of microspheres. Time evolution of the number of coagulated particles on the glass surface was measured directly. The coagulation rates were determined from the initial slope of the time evolution curves. The coagulation was retarded mainly by the hydration of the surfaces and acceralated by surface charges with opposite signs. The acceralation was much faster than in the case of particle-particle coagulation.
