摘要
Iridium particles of 1 nm mean particle size were deposited on carriers of varying acidity. As the acidity of the support increases, the sulphur tolerance of the catalysts increases whereas the hydrodesulphurization ability decreases. A model is proposed in order to explain the results, in which metallic iridium particles, deposited on an acidic carrier, are electron deficient, leading to a weak IrS bond in the presence of hydrogen. © 1990.
