摘要
The theory of the trapped dielectron in polar media is developed on the basis of the continuous dielectric model. The theory leads to a remarkably simple criterion for the energetic stability of the dielectron. Application is made to the calculation of the electronic properties of the trapped dielectron in aqueous systems. The transition energies calculated with low static dielectric constants are in the right energy region as compared to the absorption spectrum observed at low temperature.
