摘要
In this paper we report calculations of the extremal areas of Fermi surface in ferromagnetic nickel using the linear muffin-tin orbital (LMTO) method. Self-consistent calculations are performed using different exchange-correlation (XC) potentials. The Barth-Hedin (BH) XC potential gives the best agreement with the experimental data. The computed magneton number is also in good agreement with the experiment.
