摘要
Electrical conductivity measurements on polycrystalline Ag5Te2Cl indicate the compound undergoes a covalent-superionic phase transition at a temperature of 328 K. Conductivity changes abruptly at that temperature by a factor of 25 while the activation energy for ionic motion transforms from 0.38 eV in the low temperature modification to 0.26 eV in the high temperature modification. Ag3TeBr does not exhibit any phase changes throughout the temperature range 150-400 K and its activation energy is found to be 0.35 eV.
