摘要
The oxidation reaction 4HCI + O2 → H2O + 2Cl2 was carried out with yields of up to 55% by use of a 2450-megacycle microwave discharge. Experimental results confirm the theoretical prediction that the ratio of the electric field strength to gas density is the important parameter. A postulated kinetic scheme is shown to be supported by the experimental measurements. © 1968, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
