摘要
1. (1) The change in arterial blood pressure and spontaneous, as well as reflex activity of the postganglionic sympathetic nerve (renal nerve), was studied during 'para-sleep' in acute decerebrate cats. 2. (2) During 'para-sleep' spontaneous discharges in the renal nerve tonically decreased in association with a fall in arterial blood pressure. Both decreases were enhanced when the animal's vagi and carotid sinus nerves were severed. 3. (3) Reflex excitation (late response) and inhibition (silent period) evoked by single shock stimulation of the superficial radial nerve were modified, also, during 'para-sleep'; the former was depressed while the latter was enhanced. © 1969.
