摘要
The use of color reactions of five metallic acids, niobic, telluric, stannic, titanic and bismuthlc acids, for the qualitative analysis of opium and strychnos alkaloids together with reserpine In their solid state and In solution with glacial acetic acid is described. The metallic acids were used In conjunction with either sulfuric or phosphoric acid. The effect of sulfuric acid concentration and presence of methyl and ethyl alcohols on color development was Investigated. Spectral character-istics of the colored reaction products of the alkaloidal solutions In glacial acetic acid with the metallic acid reagents were evaluated to enhance the Identification characteristics. Minimum limits of detection of alkaloids by these reagents are reported. © 1979 Oxford University Press.
