摘要
Loess samples from different parts of the world were used to evaluate the thermal stability of their IR stimulated luminescence (IRSL) signals. Storage at different temperatures shows that the IRSL signals have similar thermal stability. Identical laboratory experiments on coarse grain K-feldspar show higher stability for its IRSL signal. Mineral separation is suggested as a way of selecting the most stable luminescence signal to permit dating of older samples.
