摘要
A cold-room door opens by lateral sliding. Heavy cold airflows out at the bottom and light hot air enters at the top of the door. A velocity vector orientation shows that the flow is horizontal at the lower and upper parts of the door. Temperature and velocity profiles were determined to make the heat transfer balance. When entering the room, the hot air exchanges 3.4% of its heat content. All the experimental data are represented by a correlation that shows that the mass flow increases with temperature difference. The data are compared with a simplified theoretical approach. Finally, air curtain protectors were tested. This device is advantageous because it reduces the mass entering the cold room by 38%.
