THE RELATION BETWEEN DI-NEUTRON CLUSTER MODEL AND SHELL-MODEL CONFIGURATIONS IN LI-11

摘要
It is shown that the (0 + 2) h-omega shell model wave function for the Li-11-g.s. has a dominant L = 0 di-neutron cluster structure, so that the large neutron radius predicted in the two models has similar origins. However, a realistic description of the soft El resonance requires a cluster basis which includes coupling of the di-neutron to several excited states of the Li-9 core, in which case the cluster predictions for the El strengths are considerably less enhanced.
