摘要
Basic copper acetate, Cu2(OH)3(OCOCH3).H2O has a layer structure of the botallackite type. The acetate ions are located between the positively charged copper hydroxide layers and exchangeable with various anions such as NO3-, ClO4-, Cl-, Br-, I-, MnO4- and SO42- ions. The exchange reactions are topotactic and some are reversible. The selectivity of the ion exchange is the order of Cl- > Br- > NO3- > ClO4-, CH3COO-. Attention has been focused on the MnO4- ion-exchanged product, Cu2(OH)3MnO4, which thermally decomposes to an amorphous mixture of CuO and CuMn2O4 and shows a high catalytic activity towards the oxidation of carbon monoxide.
