FIGHTING CANCER - ONE PATIENTS PERSPECTIVE

My Embryonal Carcinoma IN the spring of 1974 I discovered a small lump in my scrotum next to my right testicle. I thought it was probably just an infection and waited for it to go away. It was almost three months before I saw a urologist, who told me that the lump had an unusual calcification and that an exploratory operation should be performed. I got the impression that he might remove the testicle during the “exploratory operation” if he wished to examine it more closely.
