摘要
Vitrification is a physiological malformation commonly encountered during in vitro culture of many plant species. These malformations result in difficulties regenerating normal clonal plants through tissue culture. Here we report a plant-microbe (Origanum vulgare - Pseudomonas spp.) interaction that prevents physiological malformations associated with vitrification. Morphological and physiological variations such as water content, chlorophyll content, and total phenolics Mere compared between vitrified and unvitrified clones. Unvitrified shoots were found to have lower water content and higher chlorophyll and total phenolics compared with vitrified controls. The use of oregano - Pseudomonas spp. interaction offers excellent potential to prevent vitrification and improve the efficiency of in vitro plant tissue propagation.
