A RANDOM-WALK MODEL OF RELAXATIONS IN SUPERCOOLED MELTS

摘要
A model of glass transition and relaxations in supercooled liquids is presented. The random-walk approach is used for the description of structural-unit dynamics in configurational space. Based on the model, the following experimental data are explained quantitatively: (i) the super-Arrhenius-type and Arrhenius-type temperature dependences of viscosity for weakly bonded and strongly bonded glasses, respectively; (ii) logarithmic dependence of glass-transition temperature upon cooling rate for strongly bonded glasses and sub-logarithmic dependence for weakly bonded glasses.
