摘要
1. 1. The concentration of glycine, a neurotransmitter suspect, was determined in ten different areas of the neuraxis of a carnivore (cat), rodent (rat), bird (pigeon), reptile (caiman), amphibian (bullfrog), fish (catfish) and snake (boa constrictor) employing a specific microchemical assay. 2. 2. The distribution of glycine was also determined for six areas (dorsal: medial white, lateral white and grey; ventral: medial white, lateral white and grey) of the cervical enlargement of cat, rat, pigeon and bullfrog, as well as in these same six areas from five different segments of the cat spinal cord. 3. 3. The significance of the differences in glycine concentration noted in the various areas of the neuraxes was discussed. © 1969.
