摘要：

In this paper, a new nonparametric method for testing the difference between two groups of time series is considered. A difference index between the two groups, based on the mathematical notion of norm, is introduced. Then, the statistical significance of the observed difference is assessed by means of a randomization procedure. The percentages of α and β errors are evaluated by means of computer simulation. The method is also applied to a set of experimental data and the results are compared with those obtained by means of Student's t-test. © 1990.
