摘要
The maximal oxygen uptake of a patient suffering from McArdle's disease was 1.82 1/min, or about 50% of normal value. Neither exhaustive dynamic nor static work resulted in lactate formation. The maximal oxygen debt was 1.87 1, which is 15-20% of normal value. Circulatory and respiratory responses to increasing exercise loads revealed a hyperkinetic circulation which was normalized after glucose medication. There were lack of hyperventilation in strenuous exercise and low functional dimensions in the cardiovascular system. © 1969 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
