摘要
A study of electron irradiated aluminum has been made by means of modulus measurements. Damage production data have been obtained at ≦ 10°K and compared with similar data from copper and gold. Detailed isochronal annealing studies have been made between about 10 and 500°K following irradiation, quenching, and quenching plus irradiation. Two pinning stages have been observed following irradiation, one between about 20 and 50°K (Stage I) and the other between about 240 and 360°K (Stage IV). The two pinning stages are separated by a temperature interval in which a general reduction in modulus occurs. The isochronal data are compared with similar results obtained on copper and gold and are correlated with yield stress and resistivity results obtained on aluminum. © 1968.
