摘要
The paper describes a two-dimensional model of the movement and deposition of fungal spores within and above a barley crop. The model is tested against experimental measurements of spores of barley mildew, Erisyphe graminis, downwind of a narrow strip of infection, and of Lycopodium spores downwind of a line of point sources at crop height. The agreement between calculated and measured concentrations of Lycopodium spores is quite good. But the calculated concentration of E. graminis spores amongst the foliage is always greater than the measured value. The reason for this difference is not known, but the fact that some spores move in clumps and are deposited more rapidly than expected may be one cause. © 1979.
