Infrared chemiluminescence from hydrogen atom reactions with the sulfur-chlorine bond

摘要
The reaction of hydrogen atoms with SCl2, S2Cl2, SOCl2 and SO2Cl2 gives infrared chemiluminescence from HCl in high vibrational levels. The degree of relaxation from the initial distribution was estimated by comparison to the emission from the reaction of H + Cl-2. The vibrational level populations of HCl decreased in the series from SCl2 to SO2Cl2.
