摘要
A model is presented describing all the possible sites that can be generated by the structure of the exposed edge and basal planes of an MoS2 or WS2 single slab. It is shown that such a single slab contains only a limited number of elementary ensembles of Mo (W) ions interacting with a small molecule. Numerous different configurations can be generated for each of these elementary ensemble by changing the nature, number, and arrangements of adsorbates and vacancy. As a result, a list of all the configurations has been sorted out. It is proposed that catalytic sites for the various reactions performed by MoS2-based catalysts belong to that list. © 1990, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
