摘要
A number of polystyrene resins with nominal crosslink ratios of 5-40% have been prepared, chlorobenzoylated and chloromethylated. The degrees of functionalization achieved are dependent on the crosslink ratios of the resins. Analysis of the results obtained from specific reaction conditions suggests that substitution occurs preferentially on unencumbered pendant aromatic groups rather than on those already carrying an ethyl or additional polymer chain substituent. © 1979.
