摘要
Most studies of the effect of contact time on the strength of autohesion and adhesion have been carried out on time scales of seconds, minutes, or hours. A simple test method is described here for much shorter contact times, down to 1 ms. It has been applied to three simple rubbery polymers: SBR, BR and EPR. Measurements have been made as a function of contact time from 1 ms to 1000 s. For comparison, measurements have been made of autohesion, of adhesion of dissimilar polymers, and of adhesion of polymers to chrome plated steel. The results are reported in the second part of the paper. (from paper)
