摘要
Suppression of an alkaline phosphatase amber mutant by the Su6+ suppressor gene results in the substitution of leucine for a tryptophan residue in the phosphatase molecule. Thus, the Su6+ gene causes the amber triplet UAG to code for leucine. This is the fifth amino acid that can be specified by UAG as a result of suppression by different suppressor genes. © 1969.
