摘要：

Attention has always been paid to wastewater in the textile industry in China because of its serious pollution to the environment. Since wastewater treatment for dyeing and finishing with membrane technology in China in 1975 was investigated for the first time, this technology has been gradually applied to the other wastewater treatment in the textile industry such as wool scouring wastewater, PVA desizing effluent, chemical fiber finishes, etc., and the obvious advantages have led to more and more attention. In this paper the history and current situation of wastewater treatment in the textile industry in China was introduced. The development in the future was suggested.
