Px-data for the binary system butane/ethanol were measured at three temperatures (25.3, 50.6 and 72.5-degrees-C) using the static method. The system butane/ethanol shows positive deviation from Raoult's law and azeotropic behaviour at all temperatures. The experimental data were correlated using different g(E)-models (Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC) and the azeotropic points were calculated by the Wilson model. The use of temperature dependent Wilson-parameters allow a good simultaneous description of vapour-liquid equilibrium data and heats of mixing.
